Head of PR & Communications

Position Summary:

Reporting to General Manager of the foundation, the Head of PR & Communications works to continuously advocate the mission of HKBCF. He/She will lead all PR, communication and fundraising projects utilizing various platforms to enhance awareness of the organization, to disseminate key messages it strives to deliver to the targeted audience, and to proactively engage stakeholders including donors and supporters and the media.

Key Responsibilities:

Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Develop and implement strategic and tactical fundraising plans to meet donation targets.
  • Plan and manage regular and ad hoc events for fundraising and communications purposes.
  • Lead the PR & Communications team to ensure timely and professional communications on all printed and electronic platforms.
  • Proactively develop and manage donor relationship including identifying new donors to expand donor base and deepening ties with existing donors.
  • Lead or support in developing business cases and proposals to seek funding support and assist in drug assistance programs.
  • Work closely with all operation heads of HKBCF to ensure that their services are timely and accurately publicized and communicated with the stakeholders from both communication and fundraising perspectives.
  • Establish effective processes and systems to manage our communications and fundraising activities; build and manage a strong team.
  • Plan and control PR & Communications budget.
  • Manage external agencies and service providers on an ongoing and ad hoc basis

Qualifications and Skills:

Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Bachelors degree required, Masters degree a plus, with a major in PR, communications, marketing or related disciplines
  • 10+ years’ experience in marketing, fundraising or PR and/or communications, with 5+ years in a managerial position.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in both English and Chinese
  • Well organized, detail oriented and capable of prioritizing and advancing multiple projects simultaneously under pressure
  • Proficiency with digital marketing, social media and other emerging communications vehicles.
  • Good interpersonal skills, ability to work with people from a broad range of background



Human Resources Officer

Job descriptions:

  • Assist in handling full spectrum of HR duties, including but not limited to staff recruitment, personnel record documentation, on/off-boarding arrangement, payroll & MPF, leave management, insurance, taxation, performance management, and employee relations activities (e.g. training sessions, staff gathering etc).
  • Assist in reviewing and executing HR policies and procedures
  • Support administration duties as and when necessary

Requirements:

  • Degree or diploma holder in Human Resources Management or related disciplines, with at least 5 years’ relevant working experience.
  • Sound knowledge in Hong Kong Employment Ordinance and other HR related regulations in Hong Kong.
  • Proactive, pleasant, independent, self motivated, attentive to details, positive mindset, strong sense of responsibility.
  • Mature, good communication & interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in both spoken and written English and Chinese.
  • Excellent operating skills in MS Excel, Word and Powerpoint
  • Knowledge in operating FlexSystem is advantageous



Administrative Officer

Job descriptions:

  • Review procurement policy, manage fixed assets, assist in office renovation/ relocation project
  • Perform general admin duties, including but not limited to staff leave record management, corporate stationery printing, office supplies replenishment, coordination with vendors for office equipment/ facilities maintenance/ office hygiene and cleanliness.
  • Prepare monthly analytical reports (e.g. expenses, leave records etc)
  • Provide secretarial and logistic support for committee meetings
  • Perform ad-hoc duties as assigned by supervisor

Requirements:

  • Degree or diploma holder in any discipline with at least 3 years’ relevant working experience
  • Proactive, pleasant, independent, self motivated, attentive to details, positive mindset, strong sense of responsibility
  • Mature, good communication & interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in both spoken and written English and Chinese
  • Excellent operating skills in MS Excel, Word and Powerpoint
  • Knowledge in operating FlexSystem is advantageous



Accounting Officer

Responsibilities:

  • Handle full set of accounts independently
  • Prepare the monthly and annual closing of financial statement and analysis
  • Perform cash flow management and general account duties
  • Prepare annual budget, and budget vs actual variance analysis
  • Compile statistics and prepare reporting package to HKBCF funding bodies
  • Coordinate with external auditor to complete annual audit
  • Ensuring compliance with statutory accounting requirements
  • Assist in other ad hoc assignments as required

Requirements:

  • High Diploma / Associate Degree in Accounting or related disciplines
  • Possess at least 1 year relevant working experience in Accounting, preferably with background of non-profit charitable organization.
  • Practical knowledge and experience in Flex system is an advantage.
  • Proficient in MSOffice, esp. Word & Excel, Chinese word processing
  • Good command of written and spoken English, Cantonese and Mandarin
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, self-motivated and willing to learn
  • Detailed-minded, well organized, responsible, independent and able to meet tight deadline
  • Candidate with less experience will be considered as Accounting Assistant



Research Assistant

Job descriptions:

  • Coordinate with clinics, medical centres and patients for visits on data collection.
  • Coordinate and execute data extraction/reports generation activities and monitor data enrichment of the Breast Cancer Registry.
  • Assist in verifying data sets and apply statistical and other software
  • Conduct data analysis and report writing.
  • Investigate and research into breast cancer related news and updates.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Life Sciences or related discipline with good command of English and Chinese.
  • Min. 3 years’ exp. in research or statistical analyses. Exp. in clinical research is a plus.
  • Good in statistical & MS applications (SPSS, Access, Excel, Chinese word processing etc.)
  • Knowledge of healthcare/hospital statistics and medical terminology is an advantage.
