Free Breast Screening Programme

Since 2011, BHC has launched the free breast screening programme to supporting women in need to attend breast screening. The objectives of the programme are to provide quality medical services and related breast health care knowledge, to promote the importance of biennial mammogram screening to more mature women, and help them to develop a regular check-up habit. We provide fee waiver to women over 40 who receive CSSA, traffic allowance or disability allowance; and women in need who meet our eligibility criteria.

The programme has been funded by The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust in 2017, and the funding provided free breast screening to 5,000 women in need in Hong Kong in three years.

In 2017, funded by HSBC 150th Anniversary Charity Programme, the programme has expanded the scope of service of the programme to provide free mammogram to over 8,000 women in need in Hong Kong in the next five years.
